This is an interesting subject to me, definitely, and I'd been thinking 
of posting a while ago on a subject like that last sentence I quoted.  
I've been curious what kinds of models people--i.e., programmers--use 
nowadays for making a profit on OSS, since I haven't really read up on 
it since graduating about four years ago.  Is that a fit subject for an 
SVLUG meeting (or at least for discussion here)?
