I'll also announce this at tonight's SVLUG meeting. I'd like to thank
the two members who have volunteered to run for SVLUG's elected leadership
positions for the 2005-2006 term.
   President: Paul Reed
   Vice President: Bill Ward

Thanks to Paul and Bill for volunteering for these positions. It's obvious
how much these positions need to be filled in order for SVLUG to continue
operating, and these are the members who stepped up to help.

Quick introductions...

Paul Reed was the president of the Cal Poly LUG in San Luis Obispo while
he was in college. He's a software engineer. He lives and works in
Palo Alto.

Bill Ward is the founder and current president of the Peninsula LUG,
a.k.a PenLUG. He's a software engineer. He lives in Mountain View and
works in Redwood City.

Both have been SVLUG members for years.

SVLUG's elections will be held at or just after the Nov 3 SVLUG meeting.
If no one else volunteers to run by Fri Oct 8 (basically a deadline with
enough time to plan the election processes), then we can handle the SVLUG
election with a show-of-hands approval at the Nov 3 meeting. Otherwise
voting will be handled online if either position is contested.
