[svlug] Getting a URL for myself

	Yesterday a friend? told me to get on https://registerfly.com/ 
and get myself a personal URL. It was a battle with a truly horrible web 
page and the good offices of Pay Pal that got me a one year 
"subscription" to the URL k5di.com. I finally figured out how to give 
the web page my ip number and am now waiting for this URL to make it's 
way around to all the DNS computers.

	It's not clear how all this works. I know what a DNS computer is 
and in general terms how it gets the information it needs to translate 
k5di.com to my ip number. 

	I get the feeling it takes 4 to 5 days for a new URL to show up 
in my town's DNS computers. So perhaps I should just wait a few more 
days and hope it shows up. 

	Then I can get busy and re-learn sendmail and apache and have my 
whole internet life on this linux.
