[svlug] wireless Linux hardware recommendation

I'm trying to setup a Linux-based wireless access-point. For various
reasons, i want to use an access-point proper with it, not a wireless
card in AP mode. But i need something with a very good range.
I tried a Linksys WAP55AG (dual a+g) AP, but the range is disappointing.

Could you recommend a product that's currently available and has a
much better range? I'm looking at hybrid A+G things, but i would settle
for a G-only if it has a wide range.
