Hey guys and gals,
I know this is off topic, but I use Xandros on the
desktop, and thought the file manager would be
perfect for creating a pre-show music CD for an
improv comedy show I'm directing tomorrow night.
I pulled out all my old favorite 80s new wave stuff
like Missing Persons, The Smiths, The Cure, etc,
and threw in Tom Waits, The Andrews Sisters
and even Zappa, to give the crowd here in a small
Montana mountain town a taste of diversity.
Each track came off the discs as a .cda file, and
I used the file manager to burn the CD, but my
player seems unable to play them.
The show is tomorrow night at the county fair
and I have always felt pre-show music essential
for jazzing a crowd.
If anyone on the list can help me solve this problem
I promise that attendees of the Jefferson County Fair,
Montana will be told they enjoyed the eclectic sounds
before the night's main entertainment via the Silicon
Valley Linux Users' Group.
