Not really.
amanda last I checked still had that crippling limitation of not backing
up anything bigger than the tape size.
So, if you had anything big, you had to partition it in sections of 50
or 100MB or whatever (which more or less assumes that you have
directories and that none of them is bigger than the tape size)

Unfortunately, amanda, for any big backup, just doesn't cut it
