At work I recently installed two 200 gig Western Digital drives in a
software RAID-1 configuration.  They each came with some Promise Ultra
ATA-100 card.  card.  I just installed them and they worked fine.  I'm
using Debian sarge (testing), with kernel 2.4.20-bf2.4.  I actually have
2.4.22 installed..  I just haven't rebooted into it yet.

Only thing was, I had to use hdparm to turn DMA on.  Maybe that will change
with 2.4.22.. or maybe that is just the way the Debian-packaged kernel was
