Karl: it DOES help when people are trying to troubleshoot if you are
able to supply the details. a "16 meg video card" tells us nothing.
There are hundreds of differed "16 meg video cards" out there, and not
all of them work with linux or every version of kernel / xfree86. The
more detail, the better ie, it's a "Nvidia GeForce2 GTS" provides us
with the info to tell you that that version is or isn't supported.

There may also be conflicts between versions of drivers for various
devices which is why Erik is asking for all that info.
