[svlug] Can anyone recommend a good browser for linux based appliance?

Knowing nothing about it except that it exists:  KDE 3.1 has a "kiosk mode" 
that might mesh well with what you're looking for.  That would make Konqueror 
the browser, which may or may not suit your purposes.
