I'm as much of a Linux freak as the next person, but dual-booting
in an office environment does sound like a major productivity hit.
How long to shut down and reboot just to switch applications?

I'd be more inclined to deploy the Win32 versions of the Linux apps
you plan to use for those users who still need something that doesn't
run on Linux. Then once you have a group of people running just
applications that are available for both, consider switching them.

Dual-boot is interesting for hobbyists but I can't see a business
justification for the time it wastes. There are enough possibilities
for putting both Win32 and Linux apps on the same screen at the
same time that it shouldn't be necessary. How about VNC?
