Senior Linux/Solaris System Administrator
NexTag, has very strong financials, and is the fastest growing as well as
one of the largest comparison shopping sites on the internet. .
Work as a part of NexTag's operations team on Oracle Databases (Production
as well as development databases) and Linux and Solaris Servers. Play an
important role in maintaining and improving the availability and performance
of this major website.
Requirements: Education - BS in engineering or computer science. Must have
at least 4 years experience as a Production Sys-admin. At least two years
working for a major high traffic Website. Experience with installing and
configuring Linux servers, system performance tuning and measurement,
back-up/recovery, NAS, SAN, and RAID configuration, and other production
sys-admin tools. Thorough understanding of Solaris and Linux. Willingness
to take responsibility for all emergency issues to ensure 24/7 site
availability. Solid understanding of Cisco IOS, Pix Firewall, Local
Director strongly preferred.
You will be responsible for maintaining the production web site. You will
also work very closely with developers regarding system administration, code
release, network problems, and database queries and maintenance.
