Heh. Interesting, but old news really. This is far from a new idea. It's
essentially what WINE is doing at it's core anyway.

Basically WINE is re-implementing the WIN32 API core translating to
Linux couterpart. Problem is that there is not a 1:1 translation. Things 
like file locking, extended ACL's, shared memory, threads, etc are
slightly different at the low level kernel. It's different enough that
it even makes things like Samba quite difficult to do. The first 95% is
easy - it's that last 5% that's a bitch.

BTW, the pbs.org site doesn't handle ECN. You will need to turn ECN off
to access the web site. Pathetic.
