[svlug] linux on laptop

Hallo, 
My name is Daniela, I am a newbie. 

I have seen at fry's this laptop

I thought of buying it and putting linux on it. 

Does anyone know anything about this machine and if it is suited for linux? 

Also, does anyone have experience of saying i dont want windows and asking money
back? How does it work? Do you advise that, or do you advise to do a partition
and keep xp? The disk is 20 giga, the machine comes with windows xp home (I
think also some software for windows)
