Actually, someone in my family has an Archos, and I was looking into seeing
if it can support OGG, and it was exactly this architecture that I had in
mind when I made my post. There is a project called Rockbox
(rockbox.haxx.se) that aims at implementing another UI for the Archos, but
they only have 4k to work with.
