Well, they probably don't have the ROM or choose not to include ogg. I
find it hard to believe that ogg requires significantly more CPU or
memory than does mp3. Of course, the codec takes up space and that
space may not be available in embedded devices in addition to mp3.
I did some googling and found an announcement on /. about a device
that's claimed to be a portable file server, high capacity (20 gig,
17 gig avail) running linux that Sony is marketing:

Probably not exactly what you are looking for, and a bit pricey, but
it looks interesting.
Archos Jukebox (mp3 recorder/player) looks interesting but no ogg
support, at least not from the description.
