It looks like a nice tool, but what I'm talking about is the ability
to programmatically configure subsystems such as the web or smtp
server, desktop, etc...  Tools like cfengine let you do that, but
writing the plugins is laborious at best.  Also... there would be some
gains in terms of space savings to eliminate all the redundant config
file reading code in favor of one common library.  "Not gonna happen"
though, unfortunately.
