[svlug] start usb mouse after X has started?

Hi,

I have a usb mouse that works in my laptop if it's plugged in when X starts, otherwise I get:

(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/input/mice
        No such file or directory.
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/input/mice
        No such file or directory.
(WW) Mouse2: cannot open input device

So when I plug in the mouse, I can cat /dev/input/mice and see that the mouse
is sending events, but how do I get X to use the mouse without restarting it?
