I dunno about the battle part: Battlebots (http://www.battlebots.com/)
is a bit beyond the means of many kids/school programs, but there's a
good program that I found out about from attendance at last year's
Contact Conference: Botball (http://www.botball.org/). This was being
done by Jr. High and HS students.
