No idea what you're talking about. I never heard of /dev/eth* on any
Linux. What does "ifconfig" without commandline parameters tell you?

lpr? lprng? CUPS? did you use the exact driver? a generic one? how was
it configured?

Depending on the specifics ofcourse. More debugging info would be helpful.
