I'll second that, although I'm in SF - dunno if you can get in in SJ.
Speakeasy has been completely trouble-free and friendly.  Plus you get
a shell account, and they'll even do DNS for your domains for cheap if
you're like me and lack the motivation to learn to do it yourself.
