Hello,

    Anyone interested in the monitoring and detection of Open Proxies
(for spam traps, blacklists, etc), I've written a tool (primarily for IRC
but
with the console interface it can be used for anything) named BOPM, or
Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor.

    It includes the means to facilitate the detection of open proxied boxes
(commonly used for spamming and DoS attacks). It also has the means
to submit and interface with a DNSbl (blacklist) similar to similar to MAPS
RBL+ or Visi RSL. I know quite a few ISPs are now using it for monitoring
insecure proxies.

    Anyway since I'm a local (to svlug) and wrote this tool I thought I'd
let
everyone know about it. It might come to some use for some of you.
