[svlug] PPPoE software

I installed and configured PPPoE software from Roaring Penguin.
Now when I give adsl-status, the following message comes up.
"Link is down(Can't read PPPoE PID file /var/run/PPPoE.conf -adsl.PID.PPPoE"
And for adsl-start
/usr/sbin/adsl-start:line 191: 2459 Terminated $CONNECT "$@" >/dev/null
I would highly appreciate any helpful suggestions.
