As a first chance, you could try passing
>your root filesystem at boot... eg:
linux root=/dev/hda1

I tried this at boot: with no success
linux root=/dev/hda1
It stops with this message
'Kernal Panic:No Init Found. Try passing Init=Option to Kernal'
