I've heard of the Zaurus selling for ~$350 at Amazon.com.
(Price seems to depend on WHO you are, or something.  :^P )


At JavaOne, Sharp was selling the SL-5000D (the 32MB developer model)
for $299, but bundled with a wireless card (worth about $100).  $199 without.

So, the LWE price of $299 for the SL-5500 alone isn't too shocking,
since the retail prices were originally $399 and $499... (i.e., $100 diff.)
