Nonetheless, SVLUG and BALUG have some key volunteers who live in SF.
It was those volunteers whom I had in mind. Besides, it's anyone's right
and a normal reaction to be defensive of where you call home.
Some of the SF residents travel to SJ a lot. It's a lot of travel time
which I think credits them with more participation than I've shown.
I wouldn't want to accidentally discourage them from doing all that they
do for the local LUGs. So if I hesitate to travel the opposite direction,
I figured it would come across nicer if I mention it's because I prefer
to avoid crowds - it's easy enough to understand that SF is crowded.
It isn't out of ignorance for the travel time they incur. When I travel,
I just prefer to leave the urban setting entirely. It was a simple
explanation to add, and hopefully avoided any bad feelings.
