[svlug] libesmtp and balsa

Does anyone know how to get balsa (v 1.2) which uses libesmtp to send 
email through a remote host (e.g., ISP SMTP) ?  Balsa 1.2 does a very 
fine job in receiving email in html or text format and URLs ,when 
clicked upon, bring up Mozilla with the correct URL very quickly for me. 
 However, when trying to send balsa email - I just see "Sending Mail - 
Connected to MTA" with the send inevitably timing out.  If someone can 
give me some directions or hints on how to fix balsa and libesmtp to 
send mail I would appreciate it very much.

One work-around is since sendmail relays properly to my ISP SMTP - I can 
use Pine which accesses the same inbox as Balsa to send email which 
works except that the local domain email address is used instead of the 
real remote pop3 ones set up in Balsa.
