What kernel are you using?

 I *heard* (but didn't do more serious research about it, so sorry if I 
am wrong) that some recent kernels are doing a bad job on the VM area. 
Looks like there was a good fix (or even rewrite of VM) on 2.4.9ac10, 
but that didn't go to 2.4.10.
