Debian is aggressively admin friendly, almost to the exclusion of
all else.

Other distributions take other more or less variant tacks, RedHat
among them.  Distribution choice and preference really comes down to
where you assign your values.  We, it seems, tend to assign our
values on the admin ends of the scale.
