[svlug] Building rescue disks

How does one go about building a custom rescue disk set? (ie lilo, kernel 
image, maybe fdisk, maybe modules, etc). I'd like to make one like the one 
suse 7.1 has. I'd use that one, but i have the current version of reiserfs, 
and trying to boot with the suse disks doesn't work with this version. 
There's a list of utilities at

wondering if anyone had any techniques, suggestions, recommendations, sports 
scores, etc. thanks :)
