For the low-learning-curve threshold, I'll recommend StarOffice, that
bloated stuck pig of an office suite, version 5.2. Yes, it's fscking
big enough that I've got a vim abbreviation to expand the name out into
an adequate description, but it's pretty good as a presentation tool.
Install TT fonts for better looking presentations.
I wrestled with MagicPoint last summer for a while -- the disadvantage
is the lack of a simplified authoring tool interface that I'm aware of.
The results, once you *do* get it working right, are pretty good. But
it doesn't win for ease-of-use yet.
