Probably not.  Red Hat's "kudzu" utility is pretty brain-dead.  I'll bet
everything'll work if you change the "eth0" line in /etc/conf.modules
to say 

alias eth0 tulip

...instead of tulip-foo or whatever broken variant is in there.  I've
seen this syndrome before.
