Hi John,

   Long time - no hear :-)

I've had no problems with USB keyboard or mouse under woody or sid with 
a 2.4.x kernel.   I've got them tied to
a hub with a USB KVM switch - works great _except_
1.) Enable legacy bios support for the keyboard or the bios will 
complain at boot up
2.) Don't remove (switch away in my case...) the mouse under X - it 
confuses X...
     (switch to a vc, do whatever with the mouse, then switch back when 
the mouse is back....works fine that way)
3.) Don't forget to link /dev/mouse - some programs make stupid 
assumptions about where the mouse is :-P


I use the Full hid driver as a kernel module
