[svlug] another laptop linux question

Hello,
I'm trying yet again to install 7.1 from CD onto my ASUS MP83 laptop.
Booting from either the CDrom, or a boot floppy with the cable connected
gives the following error:
Running anaconda - please wait...
exec: No such file or directory
install exited normally....

on the 3rd console, it has the message... looking for USB mouse
on the 4th console, it has the message...
<2>EXT2-fs error (device loop(7,0)...

Anyone have a method for installing redhat 7.1 onto my laptop that may
work?  I checked for new boot disks from redhat, but nothing beyond an
April 8th release.
