Ohh, this one is the infamous Debian 1.0 Disk. What really happend is that
they pulled the unstable tree sometime during Debian 0.97 or something and
shipped it as 1.0, before the actual release. I thought Bruce Perens was
going to pop an artery. It forced Debian to release as 1.1 rather than 1.0
to avoid confusion.

There was, in fact, never a real Debian 1.0. The only 1.0 ever
"released" is on the disk set you have.
