I'm doing it right now. I got laid off this past Tuesday (along
with half of my company). Actually, I've been working more at my
company since I was laid off (getting paid for some of it is a
different story, a long story ;-).

As such, I'm looking and starting to say "maybe" to a CA locale (I'd
rather not, but half the calls I am getting are from CA companies).
If you are looking for someone, please take a glance at my resume
and see if my skillset match up with an opening position at your
firm:

I'm currently in Orlando, FL and, again, very willing to relocate.
CA is not my first option, but I'll go where the jobs are (please
speak up if you are a non-CA firm! ;-). I've already priced my
salary in Orlando against various California cities on a number of
"cost of living" sites and I hope the salaries are out there.

Sorry for this blantant self-promotion on-list, but I'd figure I
might as well mention it here.

P.S. I'm actually going to be out of the country starting today
thru May 8th. When it rains it pours: I found out some bad news
and booked a flight only to be canned without notice (along with
almost 20 others) the very next day. I guess I'm turning it into a
vacation now. ;-PPP I'll be available via voice mail at my home
phone on my resume (I'll be checking it every day or two).
