Thin cable would actualy be usable in 1U boxes where space is a problem.

That's been said before for SCSI but they keep is alive with never
features. Since SCSI acommodates more than 2 devices per chanel it's going
to stay around for a long time. Watch for Ultra640. Firewire and fibre
chanel were supposedly replace SCSI but that han't happen.

Unproven technology that takes many years to get accepted in mainstream
computer industry.
