May freewwweb rest in peace. Has anyone tried freeinet in Linux? For me, I had to set up my user name on a Windows box and after placing freeinet in the google/linux search engine, I finally found a good domain name and DNS numbers that actually work. Lo and behold, I used KPPP and CHAP (as opposed to PAP) plus the suggested domain name and DNS numbers to use with the user name and password derived from a Windows box at work; and logged in first try and very quickly on my Linux box and could browse all over the place also very fast without having to see any banners. I could receive all of my pop email but could not send any smtp email. I guess web mail and deja news is the way to go using freeinet on Linux. Anyway, if anyone else is interested in the domain name and DNS numbers that worked for me, email me.

Also, I am curious of other folks experiences using freeinet on Linux.

Regards,
