[svlug] Thinkpad-600E + "BEEP" !!

Hello Family,
	Just got a loaner laptop and I'm taking a plane trip
tomorrow (7am) and was wondering if I missed somewhere in the BIOS
how to disable the system "BEEP" when using the keyboard. 

	Is there a way for Linux to do this on a OS level ? The
version of Mandrake I had apparently was missing the 'libstdc++'
library too and I had to find that out in the buglist. The only
reason I'm taking this laptop on the trip is to keep up with this
C++ class (Intro to Programming) I'm taking and Gawd knows I have
this keyboard beeping it's ass off here at home and I don't want to
be told to silence the laptop on the plane. (humble laugh)
