I wanted to wait until it was official, which it seems to be now.

More  seriously, I  actually didn't  stop  working and  I've currently  been
helping and coordinating with the new  volunteers, to be ready for a handoff
to Karsten or be ready to continue.

Yep, I was going to say this.
This was really close and Karsten deserves  a lot of credit for getting this
many votes  (typically a  "newcomer" has  a hard  time when  running against
someone who already held the office, or a similar one).

Karsten, I'd like to offer you any  SVLUG officer position you'd like if you
still want to be involved with SVLUG (you seemed to mention publicity)
