Let's also put this in perspective. The vast majority of us
have day jobs and many of
those are driven at "internet speed" if I may use a cliche or
two. That sometimes doesn't
leave much time for those things we do on the side even for
the most chronic "A" types.

Maybe a partial solution since this seems to a hotbutton
issue for at least some folks is to
distribute the task? Surely it should be possible to arrange
the web site so that the section
on LUG speakers is a reference to a text file that some
volunteer ( with maybe a little
guidance from Lisa et al on what to do/not do HTML wise )
could undertake to maintain. A
stock message on the lines of:

"As of 03:32am, Sat 15 March 2000, no speaker
has been identified for the April SVLUG meeting"

		or

"Speaker for SVLUG meeting of 3 April 2000 is
Louis D Leper on Open Sores, Catch It Now.
Meeting is at Agnews Common Activity Building"

I have noticed over the years that if the populace is kept
informed of what is going on, they
may think twice before going for the rope, torches, and
pitchforks even when the news is not
	all that good.

	My $0.02 ( $0.3 Canadian ) anyhow....
