[svlug] another sendmail question

Hello,
I've been reading over the sendmail discussion for Robert, and I've got a
problem with sendmail too.   I got some useful information to solve some
of it, but I am still getting about thirty messages a day from sendmail
to root complaining:

Jun 4 00:00:01 wilfred sendmail[20009]: AAA20009: forward
/root/.forward.wilfred: Group writable directory Jun 4 00:00:01 wilfred
sendmail[20009]: AAA20009: forward /root/.forward:
Group writable directory 

The alias is defined as:
emlstaff:       ":include:/etc/mail/lists/emlstaff"
in /etc/aliases.  The emlstaff has five people listed as:
\vrdoljak at uclink.berkeley.edu 
\klm at uclink4.berkeley.edu
\jerylin at uclink4.berkeley.edu 
\jubu at uclink4.berkeley.edu
\tmr at uclink4.berkeley.edu     

The alias works, but I really don't like all the messages from
sendmail.  Root is not listed on the alias, and /root has the following
permissions:
drwxrwsr-x  21 root     root         1024 Jun  6 08:24 root

Anyone can point out where sendmail is having a hang up and complaining
about a non-existent /root/.forward file?
