The latter has a sample lilo.conf claimed to successfully boot an
LS-120, and says the trick is to have a "disk" section:
disk=/dev/hdd
bios=0
Like you, I saw a lot of references to people out there having problems
recognising LS-120s, and a lot more talking about inability to boot
Linux from them. Good luck.
