[svlug] Mozilla not running

Whenever I try to run mozilla it dies upon loading with a SIGSEGV. gdb
tells me that "Linux thread target has modified Unknown signal handling"
and gives me this information on the problem:
__pthread_mutex_init (mutex=0x0, mutex_attr=0xbffffae4) at mutex.c:29
mutex.c:29: No such file or directory.
I figure I could probably fix the particular problem by compiling from
source using --without-pthreads or something, but I'm not really that
driven to run Mozilla right now.
Really, my question is about my system setup. I tend to compile everything
from source myself, and was wondering if maybe I screwed my system up
somewhere last I installed glibc. I'm currently running glibc with
linuxthreads both at version 2.1.3, and libpthreads-0.8.so.
Mozilla is the only program so far that's run into this problem, so I'm
inclined to think it's something specific to it. I'm not exactly
knowledgeable when it comes to threads, though, so I thought I'd ask here
to see if anyone else has had similar problems or if there are any ideas
on the subject.
Thanks,
Brendan

Love can sweep you off your feet and carry you along in a way you've never
known before. But the ride always ends, and you end up feeling lonely and
bitter. Wait. It's not love I'm describing. I'm thinking of a monorail.
