On window managers?  Somebody would have to _really_ need a hobby.

Yeah.  What he said.

Also good in that department are icewm, sawfish, and a few others.  I
still use Window Maker to get _some_ of those virtues, while still
running a really elegant system (even in its default state), but it's
not nearly as sparse or as stable.
