[svlug] Interesting identd log messages

I've been getting things like the following:

  Jul 10 23:01:01 bush identd[18444]: warning: can't get client address: Invalid argument
  Jul 10 23:01:01 bush identd[18444]: connect from unknown

in syslog (yes, I log everything down to the INFO level).  It seems
a mite odd as most ident calls succeed just fine -- thousands of
them in fact.  Its only the very few that seem to generate this
error.  Any ideas on why this might be happening?
