You know, the comparison that comes naturally to mind is an antique 
Archie Bunker routine -- but the difference was at least the
script-writers could distinguish one East Asian group from another,
and didn't apply the wrong insults to the wrong ones.

(There's also a Korean-American comedian who responded to all this with
some considerable wit.  Which again makes a sad contrast to this
morning's post, here.)
