Without casting aspersions on anyone, I'll just note that this
viewpoint, expressed heard from the security industry, happens to
favour maximal sales.  And that this sort of software is a cost-benefit
proposition (where "cost" includes admin time, debugging time, etc. --
and where the systems themselves tend to cost mucho dinero).

There are a whole lot of easier-to-justify efforts I'd look into, first.
