Ray's probably right -- I've been using info for about a dozen years
or so, so I haven't really paid a lot of attention to the
alternatives, except to note that they exist. For all of info's
warts, it's *much* faster than even text-mode html browsers, and I
will be sad to see it disappear, even though I know I'm a minority
opinion here.
Maybe I'll have to see if I can tweak w3m's keybindings to match
info's (though that won't give me back any speed). (Nor will it add
the handy concept of a "next node" to *ml. Don't know what you got
till it's gone. *sigh*)
(Then again, I probably got spoiled by well-written texinfo in the
early days -- the quality *has* dropped off a lot. But getting rid of
info still seems like just another step in the dumbing-down of *NIXen.
Makes me wonder if vi really will survive the influx of lazy idiots...)
