[svlug] Automated usenet posting?

  dpkg, I use it with -l, -L, -s and -S, they do (probably in the same
order):

  search for a package ('alsa*')
  list the files that given package installed
  status of the package (longer description than -l)
  search for a file (prints the name of the package that provides file)
