[svlug]majordomo alternative

I gave mailman a try, but have a bit of trouble.  I followed the
instructions and got the following error when running the  check_perms
part of the installation:

[mailman at wilfred mailman-2.0beta2]$ bin/check_perms

ImportError: No module named paths
